Purchased from an English Ebay vendor, Andrew Cox, for $5.00 including shipping. September 2002. Probably celluloid. Cox purchased them at an auction room in Rothbury, which is in the North East End of England. He bought the lot for 2 teddy bears, and put the remainer on Ebay.

This is a pair of German souvenir dolls. I don't remember exactly when I got them, but it was at least 10 years ago. They've never been played with -- they just stood on display in an enclosed doll case. They are a man and a woman in traditional German clothing. They are plastic and they have eyes which open and close. Purchased on Ebay October 2000

This pair of dolls was designed by Gerhard Dargel of Bremen Germany and handmade by professional doll makers. They are in excellent condition. I have no idea of the age of the item because there are no indication on the tags. Both dolls have the original tags. Both have a lot of freckles on their faces and hand.All hand painted. Shoes made of leather. Measuring approx. 11" each. The head, legs and hand are made of papier mache ( my guess) the bodies are made of cloth.
