One month later....

"Are you sure you're okay?" Brian asked VJ over the phone. "Do you want me to come home?"

"Brian, I'm fine," VJ assured him. "Me and BJ were at my parents house when the tornado hit, and considering how thick the walls are to the whole house, the house wasn't damaged too badly. Just some broken windows, screen doors ripped off, nothing major."

"Okay. I just don't want anything to happen to you. I love you."

VJ's eyes filled with tears. "I love you, too."

"Has Alisha called you?"

"Yeah. She wanted to make sure that me and BJ were all right. She's coming down next week to help with the apartment. Unfortunately, that place didn't fair as well through this."

"Where are you gonna stay?"

"At my old apartment. My dad said he kept it furnished and vacant in case I wanted to stay there, for any reason. Me and BJ are going to move in tomorrow."

"Okay, good. Are you sure you don't want me to come home?"

"Brian, I'm sure. Just keep doing what you're doing, stay safe, and enjoy. I'll talk to you later."

"Alright. Call me if you need me. I'll hop the next plane back to home."

"I will. See ya when you get back. Bye."

"Okay. Bye."

VJ hung up the phone. She had to use her cell phone since the line in the house was disconnected. VJ knew Brian would try to contact her as soon as he heard about the tornado that hit, but wouldn't be able to get through on the other line. So she called him on her phone to let him know she was okay. BJ walked in talking on her cell phone.

"Honey, I'm fine," she was saying. "Just stay wherever it is your at and calm down.... AJ, don't freak out on me.... Yeah, I know you're worried, but, as you can tell I'm fine.... We were at VJ's parent's house, so it wasn't as bad.... I figured you'd try to call here, but the line is disconnected, so I called you.... I'm using my cell phone...."

BJ talked to AJ, trying to convince him that she was okay and that he didn't need to come home. When she finally hung up, she let out a big sigh. VJ started laughing.

"AJ wanted to hop the next plane out here, too, huh?"

BJ shook her head. "I know he loves me, and I love him, too, but sometimes he just won't let things go. I said I was fine, that I wasn't in any immediate danger, but he, for some reason, thought I wasn't being honest with him."

"I know. Brian kept asking me over and over again if I was okay and if I wanted him to come home. But I think they're just scared. I mean, you and AJ are getting married in exactly a week and a half, and me and Brian have been together for a little over a month now...."

"I thought you two were gonna keep the months going?"

"Okay, then seven months if you put it that way. We just happened to take a break that lasted over a year."

"Has Brian mentioned that other chick he was seeing since you guys got back together?"

"No. Why?"

BJ's mouth went into the shape of an 'O'.

"What? BJ, tell me."

"You know the guys are shot the video for 'I'll Never Break Your Heart' a couple of weeks ago, right?"

"Yeah."

"You remember how Brian wouldn't let you go to the set because he said he wanted the final cut to be a surprise?"

"Of course. I begged him for hours to let me go see them tape the video, but he wouldn't budge."

"Well, the video being a surprise wasn't the only reason. Now, don't get mad at me 'cause I barely found this out yesterday when I went to check the guys' apartment while you were at work. It's fine, by the way."

"Okay. It's good that the Boys still have a place to live. Now tell me what's up?"

"The girl Brian was dating before you guys got back together was playing his 'girlfriend' in the video."

VJ was silent for a moment. "How do you know?"

"She left a message on their answering machine. Kevin told me to check their messages and tell them to him, so I did...."

"What did she say?" VJ was almost afraid to the hear it.

" 'Hey, Brian, this is Leighanne. Just wanted to call you and say thank you for giving me the chance to be in another one of your videos. I had a lot of fun and I can wait 'til I can see you again. Lots of love. Bye'."

"Damn, did you memorize it? Anyway, so what? The only thing he said about this girl is that he met her while making the 'As Long As You Love Me' video and they dated for a while. He said it was nothing serious."

"Yeah, but AJ told me they were given the final approval of the girls playing their 'girlfriends'. Don't you think it's a little weird Brian picked a girl he went out with for a long time?"

"No. They could still be friends, you know."

"But I've met this woman and she's.... she's.... I don't know. She doesn't seem like the type of girl Brian would talk to, let alone go out with."

"When did you meet her?"

"I was at the taping of the 'As Long As You Love Me' video. And guess who else was there?"

"Who?"

"Marisa, AJ's ex-girlfriend."

"We keep running into ex-girlfriends here. Look, personally, I'm not worried. And I don't have anything against.... whatever her name is. I've never met her and I probably never will. So let's just leave it that."

"She's coming to the wedding."

"What?!" VJ stared at BJ wide-eyed. "Who invited her?"

"Brian and AJ did. I didn't really want her to come, but this is AJ's wedding, too. He told Brian to invite whoever he wanted. Oh, and her name is Leighanne Wallace, just so you know. And Marisa is coming, too."

"Well, we're just gonna have to wait and see what happens. Probably nothing. Brian loves me, I love Brian. AJ loves you, you love AJ, and you're getting married. We have nothing to worry about."

"If you say so...."

VJ just shrugged her shoulders. If BJ doesn't think too highly of Leighanne, then something must be wrong, VJ thought. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. But I know Brian loves me. He told me two seconds ago. Then why am I so anxious? VJ looked in BJ's direction and saw the same expression she felt she had on her face.
