i like mostly older punk and ska music...there just seems to be no foundation in any of the new punk bands,their sound just seems to be flat,boring,and recycled...every so often there is a reletively new band that sounds pretty good...but they only come out once in a blue moon...punk music,in my mind is dead..punk music lived and died in the past...all the so called punk you hear nowadays is just a failed imitation..i absolutely hate mtv and any of the so-called punk bands affiliated with them...mtv is the major problem...they have brainwashed kids into thinking bands like bush,green day,offspring and nirvana are punk bands...i kinda feel sorry for the kids who are all into the new pop-punk trend..it just seems that nowadays..punk is the "cool" thing to do...with all these kids listening to bands like green day and offspring and rancid(i also think it's funny how every every kid and their mother listen to opiv now...but they never knew about them until rancid started playing on mtv)..and then you ask them about some good bands like the clash or minor threat..or exploited..and they're like "who's that?"...and i just have to laugh...but anyways,i have forgotten what i am writing about..but i guess what i am trying to say is..never forget the roots of punk music..because all the bands of that era will always be better than the sound of today.
