The group, was really Chris's idea. Chris then called Justin, who he knew from some auditions. After they hooked up, Justin got hold of JC and asked him to join the group, and, obviouly, he did. Next, they picked up Joey, whom they met at a club. They started with this, but then realized, they needed a bass singer. And thus, through Justin's vocal coach, they found Lance. We now have *N Sync.
Their name came was actually Justin's mom's idea.
She figured out that the last letters of their first names spelled "N SYNC".
