Manalapan "B" nips Bearcats "B"

The Bearcats "B" team came close to getting its first win of the new season, but fell three points short, dropping a close decision to Manalapan 45-42.
Despite first period pins by Mike Pysniak (56), Mike Hart (60) and Anthony Watkins (HWT), a third period fall by Tom Skibo (80) and three forfeits, the Bearcats came up shy.
Hart registered the night's fastest pin in 0:15, with Pysniak's coming in 0:17 and Watkins' in 0:38. Skibo scored his fall in 3:05.
Mike Nagy (50), Chuck Gentles (60) and Craig Batista (76) won by forfeit.

Bearcat “B” notches first win 50-22

The Bearcat “B” team got its first win of the 2000 season against Franklin last week at the Fords Middle School.
Five Bearcats won by pin to secure the win with Chuck Gentles (60), Dan Donahue (93), Nick Afonso (100) Alex Lopez (110) and Anthony Watkins (HWT) scoring falls.
Sebastian Waters (63) and Tom Skibo (76) registered major decisions, with Mike Pysniak (53) and Mike Hart (67) earning decisions. Craig Batista (80) won by forfeit to round out the scoring.
“It’s nice to get that first ‘W’ under our belt,” said Coach Mike Pysniak. “There’s nothing like a win to help build confidence.”

“B” Bearcats win two, drop one on busy weekend

The Fords Bearcat “B” Team picked up wins over Marlboro and Piscataway, but lost to Woodbridge this past weekend.
Friday night, the ‘Cats traveled to snowy Marlboro to make up a match that was postponed from the previous night due to weather. Four Bearcats pinned and three took decisions to give the win to Fords, 41-34, with forfeits by both squads accounting for most of the remainder.
Pins were registered by Mike Nagy (50), Mike Pysniak (53), Tom Skibo (76) and Craig Batista (80).
Chuck Gentles (56), Mike Hart (67) and Cody Epps (70) scored decisions.

On Saturday the ‘Cats traveled to Piscataway for a tri-match with Woodbridge and the Chiefs.
In the first match, the Bearcats nipped Piscataway 37-36 as Mike Pysniak (53), Mike Hart (67) and Craig Batista (80) planted their opponents. Mike Nagy (50), Sebastian Waters (60), Tom Skibo (76) and Dan Donahue (90) won by decision, and Chuck Gentles (56) and Anthony Watkins (HWT) won via forfeit to give the win to Fords.

Chuck Gentles (56), Sebastian Waters (60) and Craig Batista (80) registered pins against powerful Woodbridge, but those wins and two forfeits would account for all the Bearcat points as Woodbridge won 61-24.
