~"I want my vegemite!"~

"Taylor, what’s the time?" Isaac asked through a mouth full of toothpaste through the bathroom door.

"9 : 42"

"What time are we leaving?"

"10"

"Well then" Isaac said walking out of the bathroom. "Could you please get out of bed?".

Taylor thought about what his brother had said. He didn't really feel like going to the mall, perhaps they wouldn't notice if he just sink into the covers so they could leave without him.

"I don't want to go Ike. I am quite comfortable here"

"What's wrong with you?"

"Nothing" Taylor sighed. "I don't feel like the mall."

"Tay, you always feel like the mall"

"Well, I am thinking."

"What is with you Taylor?" Isaac asked his brother. "What are you thinking about" as if he were Taylor’s therapist.

"Ike" Taylor said shoving his head out of the way. "I will go, okay?".

"C'mon Tay. Just let it all out" Isaac did his impersonation of a shrink.

"Oh Ike, you're a comedian." Taylor said. "Now move so I can get ready".

Taylor emerged from the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist and looked through the foggy mirror. He was thinking again. He had been doing that a lot lately. Not really thinking about anything in particular. Just about life. Like the way he and his brothers had had so much luck and joy over the past few years. Then there was the way that Kayla’s life had treated her bad. Then this flipped his thoughts to Isaac and Kayla. He laughed into the mirror. "Ike is so stupid" he whispered to his reflection. He is head over heals for Kayla at the moment. But he does not see that she likes him too. They could be a perfect couple, but Ike is holding back cause he doesn't think that she feels the same way. Taylor looked at the time on his watch. 9:55. Great, he was going to be late.

"Ike, have they left yet?" he asked a stupid question.

"No, I have not been downstairs yet. You are driving. Hurry up dude!" Isaac said.

"Hang on" Taylor was now dressed. He neatened his hair which had created little curls near his fringe from the steam. "I'm coming now" Taylor looked up at the door. Isaac let himself in.

"I want to sit in the back with Kayla." Taylor chuckled to himself when he heard Isaac say this.

"Why don't you just ask her out?"

"I will"

"When?"

"Soon okay. Just leave me alone, she probably does not even like me. She has just suffered from quite a huge break up and is probably not ready."

"Perhaps true." Taylor said pressing the last piece of hair down and going back out into the coolness of the bedroom. "Where's Zac?"

"He said he wasn't coming."

"Lucky."

"Oh Tay, you know you want to come"

"Huh?" Taylor looked up at Isaac as he put his shoes on.

"I said you know you want to come. Keryn's gonna be there"

"Yes well. Of course she is going to be there" Taylor said, rather confused with Isaac's comments.

"You know what I mean Taylor. You have a thing for her."

"Ike, she is my friend. Nothing more."

"Whatever you say Tay. I see those flying sparks between you every time you look at each other."

Taylor waived Isaac off. "Mmmm hmmm Isaac. If that's what you think".

"It is Taylor. Next time you see her, you think about it" Isaac started to walk out the door. "Come on, we have to go. Remember, I want to sit with Kayla"

"Ike, you sound like a three year old". Both brothers headed down to the kitchen.

"Taylor, can you buy vegemite anywhere at the mall?" Keryn stopped to talk to Taylor after frantically running around trying to compose a shopping list. Taylor looked at her. Concentrating on what Isaac had just said to him. Was there something there? He looked down at the floor and then looked back up again. Yep, there is something there. I think. Oh God what am I saying? There can't be. Taylor looked down at the ground again too see if he felt longing to look up at her again. He looked up. "Taylor TAY TAY TAY TAY!" He heard her screaming his name. He broke out of his trance and realised he had been staring at her for a considerable amount of time. Then he looked over at Ike, he was in hysterics at this point. He is never going to let me live this down. Taylor shot Isaac a warning look which made him quickly shut up.

"Umm...yeah...hmmm...what?" Taylor stuttered.

"Can you buy vegemite at the mall?" Keryn repeated slowly.

"Urrgh. I don't know. That stuff is discusting and we are not having it in this house. Why could you buy it in the mall? This is America"

"I know. In the import section. And it is not discusting. Taylor did you try it when you were in Australia?"

"Yeah"

"I suppose they put it on for you one inch thick. You are sposed to have like a light, little spread"

"Why are we talking about vegemite?"

"I don't know." Taylor watched Keryn scan the room. "Is everyone ready?"

"YES" Kayla shouted from the living room. "Can we get going?"

"Do you want to leave?" Keryn looked at Taylor and Isaac.

"Sure."

"Yep".

"Okay then, well, lets go." Taylor said picking the keys up off the table. He could tell now that this was going to be a long day, in many many ways.

Taylor and Isaac disappeared out the front door. "Kayla, get here" Keryn whispered. Kayla was rushing out the door with her shoes in her hands.

"What?"

Keryn's voice kept in a hushed tone. "Can you sit with me or let me sit with Ike?"

"What?" Kayla repeated.

"Taylor had something weird going on before and then we almost got in a fight and I don't want to argue with him"

"But I wanted to sit with Ike" Kayla said in a deeply confused voice. She looked at the pleading look on Keryn's face. "Oh, alright then. What about the way back" she said with a smile on her face, hoping to get her way.

"Yes, you can sit with Ike then or whatever."

"Thanks dude!" She linked elbows with Keryn and they both walked out into the cool, morning air.

Keryn looked at Taylor getting into the drivers seat. She looked at Isaac, who was standing next to her. It was obvious that he wanted to get in the back with Kayla. Sorry Ike. I have to do this. Kayla slipped into the backseat and Keryn charged in behind her. She adjusted herself into the seat and then looked up to see that Taylor was looking into her eyes.

"Don’t you want to sit in the front with me?" Taylor asked with a hurt look on his face.

"Oh Taylor. I am already in here and I can't be bothered getting out...and its cold out side."

Keryn analysed her poor excuses then looked at Taylor again. His eyes motioned up to Isaac, who was still outside the car and then to Kayla who was avoiding the situation by looking out the window. Keryn knew what he meant. I knew it wouldn't work. Why do I always have to sit next to him anyway? Keryn pulled herself out of the car and then walked around to the front seat, Isaac giving her a look of appreciation on the way. Keryn lumped down into the front seat in a huff and sighed.

"What’s up?" Taylor looked at her and smiled.

"Its that time..you know" OH GOD! Why did I tell him that? Its not even true! Why the hell did I embarrass myself for no damn reason? Keryn watched Taylor blush and drive the car away.

How could a bad day get any worse. Keryn was thinking of ways as they found somewhere to park at the mall.

"Threre’s one" Keryn said un-enusiastically pointing at an empty space

"Thanks" he pulled the car into the space.

Keryn looked into the backseat watching Kayla and Isaac. They looked longingly into one anothers eyes.

"God they're pathetic." Keryn spat out, rolling her eyes.

Taylor looked at Keryn. He was a bit suprised. "No, they're just in love"

"They won't even admit it themselves"

"I know. Tell me about it" Taylor stopped the car which bought Isaac and Kayla back into reality.

"Oh. You're awake loverbirds." Keryn got out of the car and slammed the door.

"What’s with her?" she heard Isaac say.

"That time of the month" Taylor replied.

"Taylor!" Kayla warned as she got out to see what was wrong with Keryn. "Are you okay?" she said when she was outside of the car.

"Sorry Kayla" Keryn said when she realised that her friend was standing next to her.

"What's the matter?" Kayla asked with some worry in her voice.

"Yes. I'll be okay" she sighed. "Thanks Kayles. I think I am just a bit tired".

"Are you sure?"

"Yep, thanks Kayla." a small smile appeared on Keryn's face. "How’s it going with Ike?"

"Oh, he is a great friend."

"Yes Kayla. I’m sure".

Keryn thought for a moment. Kayla was lucky to have someone have feelings for her like Isaac. It is something she needs at this point in time. It is something that everyone needs. It just didn't seem, to happen for Keryn though. Her thinking was interrupted when she looked down at the guys in the car. They looked a bit uncomfortable and scared to come out.

"Are we going?" Kayla shouted through the window. With that the guys got out of the car.

"Taylor, where are we going?" Keryn said as they trekked through the supermarket filling the cart.

"Nowhere. I am just looking for some of that cleaning stuff".

"Washing up liquid?" Kayla asked.

"Yeah. That's it."

"I saw it over there. Want me to get some"

"Please."

"I want to go home" Keryn said as she followed Kayla up the isle when they went to get the liquid.

"It's not like you to not want to shop" Kayla turned around and laughed.

"Oh, don't get me wrong. I want to shop, but I need clothes more than I need groceries at the moment"

"Yes, I am getting that way too."

Keryn and Kayla tracked down the bottle and went back in search or the guys. They found them next to the milk isle signing autographs and taking pictures with fans.

"Ha ha" Kayla laughed. "I keep forgetting they are famous."

"You are not the only one. It is a bit of a shock cause it wasn't like this when I left for LA. They had just finished recording."

"They handle it really well"

"Yes they do." Keryn looked at Taylor and Isaac. They were treating the girls that they were surrounded by as if they had known them for years. "They are being really sweet". Keryn and Kayla stood there and admired from afar.

"Ike, what are we making for lunch?" Keryn heard Kayla ask when they got home.

"Anything you want" Was his reply. Keryn smiled to herself.

"They would make an excellent couple" she whispered to herself.

"Tell me about it" She turned around to see Taylor standing there.

"Arrgh. You startled me"

"Sorry" he smiled

"Don't be."

"Guess what?" he smiled at her.

"What Tay?"

"I got you something at the store" she looked down and he produced jar of vegemite from behind his back.

"Awwwww! Taylor! I love you!" she grinned.

"Hehe. I knew you would. Just keep it away from me, okay?" "I shall. It's all mine!" she laughed again. "Thanks Taylor"

"Don't mention it." Taylor said as they walked out to help Kayla and Isaac.

"Thanks"
