Romans 16:20 "The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet."

This page is a little different then the "Cool Bible verses" page. Instead of focusing on a few broud topics, this page focuses on more specific scriptural topics.

Suffering for the name of Jesus
:
* Jesus Christ was perfect yet he "did not consider equality with God something to be grasped . . . he humbled himself and became obedient to death- even death on a cross!" If Jesus was willing to suffer for God than so should we, after all no one should be aragent enough to say they should be treated better than Jesus.

1 Peter 2:22, 23- He committed no sin, and no deciet was found in his mouth." When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.

Acts 5:40, 41
- They [the Sanhedrin] called the apostles in and had them folgged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. The apostles left the Sanhedrin, Rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.

2 Timothy 3:12- In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus wil be persecuted.

James 1:2-4, 12- Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith devolops perseverance. Perseverance must finish it's work so that you will be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will recieve the crown of life that God has pormised to those who love him.

Mathew 5:11,12
- "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all knids of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Romans 5:3-5
- Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Philippians 1:29- For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him.

1 Peter 3:14
- But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear what they fear, do not be frightened. But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord.

1 Peter 4:12-14, 16, 19- Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. So then, those who suffer accordintg to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

Luke 21:19
- By standing firm you will gain life.

Acts 14:22
- "We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God."

Prayer
:
Proverbs 16:3- Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.

James 1:5-8- If any of you lacks wisdom he should ask God, who gives generously to all, without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks he must believe and not doubt because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will recieve anything from the Lord; he is a double minded man, unstable in all he does.

James 4:3- When you ask, you do not recieve, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

James 5:13- Is any one of you in toruble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
- Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Chist Jesus.

The Bible
:
2 Timothy 3:16- All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Joshua 1:8- Do not let this book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be carful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

James 1:22-25- Do not mearly listen to the word, and so decieve yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and after looking at himself, goes away and immediatly forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it-he will be blessed in what he does.

Christian Fellowship
:
Hebrews 10:24,25- And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12- Two are better tha one, because they have a good return for thier work. If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly borken.

1 Thessalonians 5:11- Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Wittnessing
:
Mathew 28:19, 20- Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teacing them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you alwaysm to the very end of the age.

But in this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

Luke 9:1-6- When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. He told them: "Take nothing for the journey-no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra tunic. Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town. If people do not welcome you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave their town, as a testimony against them. So they set out and went from village to village, preacing the gospel and healing people everywhere.

Fruit of the Spirit
:
I have a seperate page for the Fruit of the Spirit. However this page is set up like a devotional, with a seperate devotions set up for each of the nine facets of the fruit. Because of this I could only put a limited number of verses for each facet. These are some other verses on the fruit of the Spirit that I didn't include on the Fruit of the Spirit page.

Love:
Romans 8:35-39- Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are condidered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powres, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 14:21, 24- Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him . . . . If anyone loves me he will obey my teaching . . . . He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

2 John 5-6- And now, dear lady, I am not writting you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

Luke 6:32,35,36- If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most HIgh, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

1 John 2:15-17- Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world-the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does-comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.

John 13:34,35- "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my desciples, if you love one another."
