Reeland Razorbacks vs. Flevo Phantoms First of all I have to tell you that there has been a turbulent time in the Dutch American Foot-ball life. In Holland we are now at the point of having two leagues, just like the NFL & AFL a good couple of years back in the States. You have the old league, the Naff and there is the new league called the A.F.L.N, which stands for American Football League Nederland. Now the Reeland Razorbacks are members of the A.F.L.N. so you will not find any teams of the Naff over here, sorry. -K- about the game. It was a really nice day to play a Football game, sunny and not too hot. Everybody was pum-ped but their was one problem we had to play with a lot of rookies, some were even youth players. We started defense and we hold them up prety good, mainly because they had the same pro-blem as we had, no experienced players. When we were offense we had a pretty good drive but we were halted by their defense and our penalties (several delay of game penalties because our QB had to explain everything). On our next possesion we had fewer penalties against and scored on a running play, the P.A.T. was no good. From this point on it is a great blur in my mind what happenend next because I was the Defen-se captian and had to focus on our defense. So I can only tell you the final score, 12 - 12 but I know this, we should have won but we lost by our own mistakes and fumbles. At last I would like to congratulate all our rookies by playing this well and I hope that they will play this well again next week against The Nijmegen Pirates.
Do you live in the vicinity of Dordrecht and you want to learn(more) about playing Football the American way just mail me or sign my guestbook for information.
