Ever since I was born I've loved music. It has played a tremendous role in my life. My first music interest was Elvis, he came out around the time I was born. I lived across the road from a drive-in theatre and when Elvis would be there I would tug on my Dad's shirt and say Elvis, and so they took me to see him, where supposedly I danced my diaper off.

Then when I was about eight years old, the Beatles came out. I would sit too close to the TV and get yelled at, but my older sister and I loved them. We collected Beatle cards (wish I had them now) and we would sing in harmony with their music. It was so much fun.

Of course later I started liking bands like Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, and on and on. My main blues interests were Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, Muddy Watters ect.

As I got older I got into AC/DC, Judas Priest, Ozzie, and basically anything that rocked. My favorite blues artist of this era was Stevie Ray Vaughn.

I sang in the high school choir, it was cool because we got to do Jesus Christ Superstar and also we'd visit the less fortunate around the holidays. When I graduated I moved away to the big city, I was all of 17 years of age. I had a deep desire to sing, and finally got to audition for the band that toured with The Platters. It wasn't exactly what I wanted but they were booked solid up and down the coast. I passed the audition but everyone thought I was to young to be touring and so I turned it down...):

So I guess I gave up my big chance, but I still like to sing from time to time in a kareokee bar or with my brother Forrest's band, and I like to write lyrics and poetry.

When my brother, Forrest turned 19 I bought him his first guitar because I was tired of watching him play my broom..see above..lol..no actually he also showed great interest in music and I wanted to encourage him. I gave him a learn how to play guitar book and he thought that was his birthday present and said "well it's a start!" Then I went to the closet and pulled out a garbage bag with a big red bow on it and a guitar inside. It was only a Sear's catalog acoustic guitar, but it was nice and he was thrilled.

I didn't really think he'd learn how to play, but wow he fooled me. He's been playing now for many years and he's excellent, he can make that guitar cry and sing.... He has his own band now called Prowler in Northeastern Pa. and they have a CD out called "Slap a Lip Over It" It's great and it kicks ass!! My brother sings, plays lead and rythum guitar, he writes lyrics and music, and he's accompnied by three great guys, Dave, Joe and Jeff. I find myself puttin their CD often when I want a lift. He also has a great song that's more bluesy called "Call the Undertaker", Love It!!!
