The Oostdam's Namibian Tour,
continued

ONDANGWA to TSUMEB

Along the road, stacks of
handwoven baskets

were waiting for
buyers to call for the owners
People, cattle and watering holes

all over the place!

At 11:30 on Feb.21, 1998, we crossed the
border between Ovamboland to Etosha,
and a half an hour later the meat-control post.
It is obvious that cattle reigns supreme here!
And Punya restaurants are doing well, too.

Namibia Index
Just south of Namutone there was
a tourist shop at a deep lake;
a man who spoke 16 languages told us Tsumeb is
well-known for its 260 species of minerals.
We reached Tsumeb itself around 15:45
but that's another story!
