A great way to bring you back to Kuching's yesteryears is to take a cruise along the Sarawak River where the "Royalist" yacht was first set sailed in this region by the English adventurer, James Brooke. Retrace this historic route with the traditional "tambang" (water taxi) taking in sights of places of interest like the well laid out Kuching Waterfront, Square Tower (formerly a VIP - Very Important Prison), multi-purpose Market, old State Mosque with 5 domes shaped like 5 golden onions, Malay Stilted Houses, Satok Suspension Bridge before browsing along the other side of the river to view the Astana (former palace of the White Rajahs), Fort Margherita (a Police Museum now) and the fishing village. If your cruise coincides with a Sunday, you may enjoy sights of village children splashing the river with a dive from nearby treetops amidst cries of "Hello, Hello, Hello" upon seeing you. There is every possibility to take good photographs especially on a good sunny day in the slow moving "tambang" powered by only a 5 horse power and manually navigated. INCLUDES Transfer and tour as per itinerary Tour Guide Boat Ride EXCLUDES ITEMS NOT MENTIONED
