Philadelphia Boxer Rescue Online Application

If you prefer to print out the form click HERE

The following application will be used by Philadelphia Boxer Rescue to best match one of our boxers with your preferences, needs, and lifestyle. It should be understood that Philadelphia Boxer Rescue reserves the right to deny any application. Applications will be denied if the applying individual does not match what we have set as guidelines for providing a healthy and stable environment for our rescue Boxers.

The fee to adopt a rescue Boxer is $250 for a younger dog, $200 for an adult dog. The fee to adopt a senior dog is negotiable. Once your application has been received, it will be kept on file. As a rule of thumb, we try to offer adoptable Boxers to individual a/pplicants on a first come, first served basis. However for the sake of the animal, this is usually not the way things work out. As a higher priority to first come, first served, we will first try to match the needs of the Boxer to the needs of the applicant. Once a decision is made as to the possible placements for the Boxer, we will consider the date of the applications of those we see as best fit homes for the animal.

We will keep ALL applications on file until a placement is made or the applicant requests to be removed from the list.

Keep in mind, Philadelphia Boxer Rescue TRULY appreciates your interest in our rescue program. Although our adoption procedures may give the impression that we are too picky, and require our applicants to jump through unnecessary loops. We do this for the sake of the Boxers. Many of the Boxers we get through our program have already had to endure at least one greatly troubling loss or separation in their life. We, as a rescue program, are doing nothing more than trying to make sure their next home is a home for life.

Incomplete forms will not be considered.

Boxers, just as with any breed, have health problem tendencies. Our biggest killers now are cancer (in many forms), heart diseases (cardiyomiopathy-enlargement of the heart muscle which leads to weakness of the muscle and eventually heart failure & aortic stenosis-narrowing of the aorta) and hip dysplasia. While no one can forsee if one particular dog will become ill, buying from a reputable breeder helps. Reputable breeders do all they can to screen the genetic health of their breeding animals to avoid propagating these problems.
