David Charvet - A Biography

David CharvetDavid Charvet was born in Lyon, France. At the age of 8, he moved to the United States with his mother. His father came to the US shortly afterwards, and built up a succesful business. Growing up, David was an athletic child, and excelled in sports. He also developed an interest for drama. At age 18, he signed with a prestigious Elite Model Management and was seen in ads for Coca-Cola, Levi's, Miller's Outpost and Bugle Boy. After working in advertising for a year he decided to pursue an acting career and enrolled at drama school. In 1992, David landed the part of “Matt Brody” on Baywatch. From there, his career took off.

In 1995, David left the hit series to pursue in other projects. In 1996, he joined the cast of Melrose Place, where he portrayed Craig Field, the son of a very prominent businessman. David’s other acting credits include Seduced and Betrayed, Derby, and Angel Flight Down (all TV movies). David is currently now taking time off to focus on his singing career in France. He has recently released an album in French.

Besides acting, David tries to be a role model for young adults. He is proud to admit that he has never used alcohol, drugs or cigarettes. David uses his high profile as an actor to speak out against substance abuse. He gives motivational talks to kids about how they can stay away from addictive substances and how to deal with family addicts. David is also very active in the 'Pediatric AIDS Foundation.'
