BY BRET MILLER

Off the eastern coast of Spain lie the Meditteranean islands of Ibiza, a longtime getaway for European club kids ready to revel in dance, drink and 24 hour a day bacchanalia. The Cafe Del Mar has long embodied the Ibiza vibe and has been releasing compilation of music played a the resort/restaurant/club for several years now.
Volume Seven is compiled by resident DJ Bruno and contains such lush and lovely tunes as Lux's Northern Lights, the sexy Breather 2000 by Afterlife and Moby's sparse trip hop track Whispering Wind. Containing a few vocodered lines, spare drum loops, synth pads and a tasteful piano melody Moby makes the most of this excellent mood piece. The Nightmares on Wax remix of Bush's Letting the Cables Sleep is one of the very few times you'll likely enjoy a song by that band. E.A.S.E. makes Gavin Rossdale's voice purr over cool beats, piano and strings. Sunbeams by UKO is airy sun-filled tropicalia, A New Funky Generation featuring Joy Rose injects some real instrument and soul into the mix with One More Try and Bent will have you slow dancing to their dense torch song Swollen. Whether you're lounging at home, entertaining guests or ready to dance the night away, is a brilliant soundtrack to all your activities.
