The next band to see was Primal Fucking Scream. Their one of first and best bands to combine the Madchester vibe of dance beats and rock instruments and has become a juggernaut of vintage guitar licks, political lyrics and bass throbbings. Bobby Gillespie missed the fun being had as friends and freaks got bassist Mani’s attention and amused with their sexual advances and innuendos. The bass and drums mixed with dirty squeals and distortion as Primal Scream tore through such hits as Rocks, Movin’ On Up, Shoot Speed Kill Light and Swastika Eyes (which really got the audience grooving). As the sun set behind the mountains, the lights flashed stronger, the beats got harder and the whole place turned into a glorious party.
