Chapter Two: Broken Romance That "fight" resulted in Aj and Brian getting even closer. That is, until, another fight occurred. It was almost a year later. Brian came home to find Aj was nowhere to be found. Thinking the worst, he ran through the house calling her name. He made it to the bedroom and opened the door. "Aj? Are you in here?" "No I’m not." "Oh thank god. You’re okay." "Kind of. Look, Brian. I need to talk to you about something." "Sure." "I’m pregnant." "Oh. When did you find out??" "atemontsago" she mumbled. "What?" "Eight months ago… remember last Christmas?" She started to cry. "Eight months? You didn’t tell me?" "No.." "Why didn’t you tell me?" "You were too busy.." "Damnit Aj I think I would’ve taken the time to listen." He took a deep breath. "Look, is it mine?" "Do you even have to ask?" "Well, for all I know you could have -" "Brian it’s yours." "You’re sure?" "Positive." "Why the fuck didn’t you tell me?" Brian yelled, almost to himself. "I told you." "How do I know you haven’t been sleeping around?" "Brian!" "I never know!" "You never ask." "Don’t go blaming this on me!" He slapped her across the face. A large red mark appeared on her cheek . She cried even harder. Brian’s expression softened. "Oh god. Baby I am so , so sorry. I- I- I’ll get away from you." He left before Aj could say anything. When he was outside, he heard rustling sounds in the bushes. Thinking one of the cats was hurt, he looked. He didn’t see the person behind him and he couldn’t scream….. |
