Chris was a member of The Groundlings, a Los Angeles-based improv/sketch comedy group, before joining "Saturday Night Live". Other cast members and former cast members like Will Ferrel, Ana Gasteyer, Cheri Oteri, Laraine Newman, Phil Hartman, and Jon Lovitz started there.

Chris has guest-starred on "NewsRadio," "Grace Under Fire," and "Def Comedy Jam" on HBO.

Chris was born in Southern California, but he spent most of his childhood in Seatle. He returned to Los Angeles for college at the University of California at Northridge. During college Chris acted in many live theater productions.

Right now Chris lives in Sherman Oaks, California, and New York City.
