Welcome To Kevin's Wonder Land Room 5!

As you walk into Kevin's room you notice you are in a gym. You spot Kevin over at the exercise bikes and decide to go over and talk to him.

"Hi Kevin!" you say, "How have you been doing?"

"Just fine," he says getting off the bike, "It's been awhile since we last talked. Would you want to help me out on the weights?"

"Sure." you say walking with him across the gym to the weight room.

As you spot Kevin on the weights you start asking him about how he got started in the Backstreet Boys.

He tells you after 5 minutes of weight lifting that he will tell you in a minute.

After you guys get done Kevin takes you to this room kind of like a cafetaria and orders you two a glass of water.

"O.K. now will you tell me about how you got started in the Backstreet Boys?" you ask him again.

"Better yet!, Here watch this." he says putting a tape in the VCR that is in the room.

"What is it?" you ask.

"It's an interview I just recently had with some lady." he says pressing play, "This will tell you what you want to know."

A black screen apears and then bright blue words apear on the screen reading 'Backstreet Boys Time Warp!'

'Kevin Richardson Leader of the Pack!'

It starts out showing Kevin as a young boy playing baseball with some other kids then shows him growing up to where he is at now, on stage singing with the other Backstreet Boys.

It starts:

When Kevin Richardson was growing up, there were two activities he loved participating in: football and music. "My dream was to be a football star," he remembers. "I was doing music too, but I was a little disappointed when I got to my Senior year in high school and saw I didn't have the size to play college football."

Deflected from his football dreams, Kevin thought he might pursue a career as a pilot. But something kept him from taking that step -- his growing love of music and performing. "I was always standing in front of a mirror, pretending to sing into my brush," he says. "That is how I learned to sing -- by imitating people like Elton John and Stevie Wonder."

Kevin moved to Orlando, Florida -- it was the nearest city that promised the possibilities of a career in entertainment. "I'd heard the film industry was starting to grow down there, with MGM Studios and Universal," he says. "Plus Disney has a lot of entertainment jobs. I thought it would be a good place to start, not as competitive as Los Angeles.

Kevin worked as a tour guide for MGM, then a Ninja Turtle in a MGM Parade show. He also appeared in Disney Wold's parade, starring as Aladdin. Then he heard about an audition for a singing group. He sent in a photo of himself, got an audition, and got himself hired! "It was so exciting for me," he says. "It was like, everything just really worked out and I knew I'd made the right choice."

For Kevin, everyday reinfoces the fact that he made the right choice. In fact for Kevin, who's considered to be the most business like of the group, being in the Backstreet Boys has been the experience of a lifetime. "I'm getting the oppertunity to do what I've dreamed about," he says. "I'm so happy to get that chance. It's my chance to live my dreams." As for his nickname, "Train," -- what else would you call someone who tears through life like a locomotive? Pushcart?

After it's done he turns the T.V. off and puts the VCR tape back in his duffle bag.

"I just received that about 10 minutes before I met you. That was done a month ago." Kevin says.

"It was real cool," you say.
