A RARE AND DESIRABLE ELGIN "HAF-A-HORS"
1/2 H.P. KICK-START GASOLINE ENGINE.
Manufactured by the Elgin Wheel & Engine Co. Elgin, IL., ca.
1920, serial # 11763, two-cycle, high tension spark plug ignition,
complete with 2 1/2" dia. high tension ignition coil, with an
inverted vertical air-cooled cylinder of 2" bore x 2" stroke, frame
incorporated fuel tank. All brass mixing valve carburetor, enclosed
flywheel of approx. 9" dia. with removable flywheel cover, kick-start
lever, 3" dia. flat-belt pulley, restored in running condition on
hardwood presentation skids, overall height to top of flywheel cover
17 1/4", width over shaft 15 1/2", skid dimensions: overall length 26",
width 12". Also known as the "Little King", "Little Pet", were used
for numerous fractional horse power farm, domestic
and commercial application.
