Praise be to Buddha!
He has brought to us the great Song
Emperors!
Praise be to Buddha!
He has found the Middle
Kingdom worthy of continued peace and culture!

The Middle Kingdom, freed for now
from the threat of barbarian attack, is undergoing a period
of rapid change. At the direction of the Emperor, diplomatic
overtures have been made to all of China's neighbours and
good relations have been established with Japan, Korea,
Nanchao and Annam.
To celebrate the newfound peace,
Emperor Song Chen-Hu has ordered the construction of a great
hall, Tian An Shan (Mountain of Heavenly Peace), on the top
of a local hill. This hall will be a cultural centre and will
also serve as a location for diplomatic negotiations. The
first stage of this hall has already hosted the "First
Debate on Slavery and Civilization" in the Year 1024 and
the finished hall will host an art exhibition on the same
subject in the 1029. While most believe that Tian An Shan is
being constructed as a monument to peace and freedom from
slavery, there are other rumours as well.
