the smashing pumpkins make up one of the most  influential bands in modern rock.
originally composed of four members, they have been reduced to three over the 
course of ten years. 
together they have completed and released five albums: gish, siamese dream, 
the b-sides and rarities album pisces iscariot, mellon collie and the infinite 
sadness, and adore.
