WGNA FM's morning team Sean and Richie love helping people, golfing, beautiful women and great country music (not necessarily in that order). At this year's tournament they got to combine all of these into a fantastic day of fun and entertainment.

Arriving at the early hour of 6:30 am Cyndi and Chely each did a live radio interview and then joined Sean, Richie, other area celebrities and vip's, golf enthusiasts and even some golf pros out on the links.

Chely seemed to be a seasoned veteran to the sport. Cyndi on the other hand seemed reluctant to get out there, saying that she preferred tennis, but once out there she seemed to pick it up very quickly.

Other teams that I had a chance to hang out with included such folks as Nashville recording aritist John Karl who provided songs, great humor and a decent golf game for his team and of course Sean and Richie (one of whom seemed to be quite serious about his game).

After the golf everyone returned to the clubhouse for a wonderful buffet lunch and then a performance by Chely and Cyndi.

Neither of the artist could decide who would go first so the ladies and their bands took the stage together and took turns singing their songs, helping each other out along the way. Cyndi; sang her new single What I Really Meant To Say from her forthcoming Capitol-Nashville debut release My Way that is due out this summer.

Chely sang songs from her previous albums as well as her current single Never Love You Enough from her forthcoming MCA-Nashville album that is due out September 4th. Chely then finished in grand finale` style singing her smash hit single Single White Female.

Following the performance Chely and Cyndi; graciously signed autographs and took pictures with all fans who asked.

Then after all of the awards had been handed out Sean announced that there would be one more surprise treat for the golfers, who received a clinic given by pro golfer and author Charlie King.

Money was raised for Sean's "Pennies from Heaven" foundation, golfers got a whole lot of golf and country music fans got to hear and meet two great country singers. All in all it was a perfect day.
