Sunday July 22nd and Sunday August 5th 2001 at Indian Ranch Webster, MA, and The Franklin County Fair Malone, New York
Story and photos by William Bolton

When we saw that Tanya Tucker was on tour this summer we decided to do it up right, covering three shows at two venues and doing an interview with her and one with her road manager / acoustic guitarist / backup singer Bryan Frasher who is also starting a solo career.

The first of the two venues was Indian Ranch in Webster Massachusetts. Indian Ranch is a great place to see a show and combined with the talent to be seen, we knew it was going to be memorable.

Tanya did a set consisting of all top ten hits covering as many fan favorites as time would allow. She also did a medley of songs to try to touch on some of the favorites she would not have time to cover in their entirety.

Two very memorable segments of the set were, when she brought her daughter Layla on stage to help her perform What’s Your Momma’s Name , and then when she talked about her friendship with and admiration of Lorreta Lynn and the late Tammy Wynette and then sang the song Your Good Girl's Gonna Go Bad from the tribute album Tammy Wynette Remembered. Tanya of course ended the show with an encore performance of her legendary song Delta Dawn

The show at Indian Ranch was opened by Jimmy "Blaze" Carello . Blaze did a set of songs from his album "Blaze" . Then before Tanya came out a second set was done by Dave Foley entertaining the crowd with songs from their album Holey Moley It’s Dave Foley.

The second two shows that we covered where at The Franklin County Fair in Malone New York. First of all I would like to mention that I have never met a nicer group of people than we met while coving this event. Everyone from tour management to fair administration and staff to fans were friendly and kind to us. This is a terrific place to see a show and enjoy an evening of family entertainment.

At this stop Tanya played two sets, the first of which was a mirror image of the performance at Indian Ranch. The second show was mixed around a bit to give a unique show for those who had stayed, yet hit all of the songs that those who had just come in would want to hear.

These shows were two of the best days of entertainment we could ask for. Combining this with the thrill and honor of being granted an interview with Tanya and Bryan made memories that will last a lifetime.
