Welcome to the official website of Hong Kong's only English speaking camera club. The Cathay Camera Club has been established since the early eighties and has a track record of exhibitions and international competitions.

The club has been working on documenting old Hong Kong for a number of years now. One of these projects has been the production of a book on the Yau Ma Tei area of the city. This area, located on Kowloon the Kowloon Penisula, is one of the oldest parts of Hong Kong and is undergoing rapid transformations as the city modernises. This section shows some of the work done by the club. The book has been published and is available in bookstores around Hong Kong.
Once a month we have themed competitions. Members are given a theme ("Night" for February 2005, for example) and have to try and capture an image which fits that theme.
