Belmont, Nevada

Belmont is, hands down, the BEST semi-ghost town in Nevada! WE LOVE IT HERE!
Why? Well, the ruins are extensive, the photo ops abundant, the locals are VERY cool, AND there are soooo many rabbits! Heaven for the 2 or the 4 legged!
Mike, Cat and I stayed here this past May for Cat's birthday and had a FANTASTIC TIME!
Dirty Dick gave us a tour of his saloon (EXTREMLY old west!). By the way, Dirty Dick says that he gets less dates with his nickname, not the other way around.

And we stayed at Chris's B&B, the Belmont Monitor Inn.

The B&B is, by far, one of the nicest places we have ever visited! The B&B was a mining office building in the 1800's and its just AMAZING! It is filled with antiques and Chris's restoration work is wonderful! It's authentically decorated - like stepping back in time when you walk in the door! Plus Chris is a MEAN cook! The Belmont Bank and the Cosmopolitan Hotel. The hotel was destroyed by vandals in the late 80's. It was a gorgeous 2 story building in great shape until then.



The original Belmont church was moved to nearby Manhattan in the early 1900's. The new church was built using the same blueprints of the original.

Belmont has a large cemetary with many interesting headstones and ironwork. Lots of fun to photograph and explore!
