Benton Hot Springs

Benton is located really close to Mammoth so we make it out here quite a bit. The buildings in town date back to the late 1800's and the old cemetary, located on a hill overlooking the town, is creepy and yet cool!

Benton Hot Springs was a prosperous town in the late 1800's, with successful mining nearby on Blind Spring Hill. Cat and I took our friends Heidi (german sheppard), Ed (Heidi's person), and Ed's brother Pat on a hike to check out the mines on Blind Spring just recently.

We didnt find much really, except some ruins of buildings, a couple of mines, TONS of mine tailings, some broken bottles, and a squirrel or two. And this very cool old safety pin!
