THE KAISER MINE



The Kaiser mine has an adorable little mining camp with several houses, a cellar, what was once a small garden and several transplanted trees of different types. This was once a quaint little spot to be!

When we first got to the Kaiser mine near the headframe our friend Shawn immediately pointed out the smell. Its was smeet and smelled vaugely of almonds. Cyanide! YIKES! We moved the cars to another site where the smell wasnt so strong.

At the site of the mine and headframe we found a whole area of equipment, including an old hoist that was in great condition!

Can anyone say "Insurance fraud"?
