MONOVILLE
and surrounding gulches

RATTLESNAKE GULCH

This area is just north of Mono Lake and is known to be the oldest known site of gold mining on the Eastern side of the Sierra Mountains.
This is a fun and scenic area with lots of great boulders and structures just begging to be photographed! But keep in mind, its also very well known for its rattlesnakes!
Cat and I have been pretty lucky, we've only seen one snake here in all the times we've visited! And it turned out to be a gopher snake (Cat says Thank God!).

BACON GULCH

CONWAY RANCH

The wallpaper is still attached to the interior walls of the main ranch house. And we found this date imprinted in cement in one of the yards. We also came across one snake, but it was only a king snake, thank God!
