A brother in Christ criticized a program on ABC because on a show they
openly criticized the idea of opposing the Gay lifestyle. He told them
that they need to read the first chapter of Romans concerning God's
attitude toward homosexual practices. They wrote him back these words:
"How about getting your nose out of the Bible (which is ONLY a book of
stories compiled by MANY different writers hundreds of years ago) and 
read the Declaration of Independence (what our nation is built on) where
it says "All Men are Created Equal" - and try treating them that way for
a change? Or better yet, try thinking for yourself and stop using an
archaic book of stories as your crutch for your existence." From this
we conclude that the writer not only upheld homosexuality but also that
he denied the inspiration and authority of the Bible. These are the
reasons there are  so many corrupt atrocities and actions in the world.
  1. Mr. ABC suggested that we all start reading the declaration of
independence rather than the Bible. He is so blind that he cannot see
that the statement he quoted was FROM THE BIBLE. It is Genesis 1:27 that
teaches that God created man in His own image and that He created Male
and Female. We are all created equal in that we are all made of the dust
of the earth (Genesis 2:7). He made male and female because man needed
a companion that was fitting for him and the woman needed the man as a 
companion that is fitting for her. (Gen. 2:18-24). Without male and 
female we would not have any civilization because that is what it takes
to reproduce the human race. Mr. ABC wouldn't even be here if all people
in the past decided to be homosexuals.  This "Archaic" book, the Bible,
tells us our origins and also gives us advice crucial for our future.
Man is to leave father and mother and cleave to his wife (woman), and 
they twain are to be one flesh (Gen. 2:24). You can't improve on that
by making and broadcasting dramas designed to deny the Bible. 
  2. The Bible was written by many different men over a period of 1500
years but the unity of the book shows that a divine hand guided them.
"For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man; but holy men
of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." (2 Pet. 1:21). The
Bible was written by kings, soldiers, shepherds, farmers and fishermen.
It was begun by Moses in the lonely desert of Arabia and finished by
John on the isle of Patmos. Some was written by kings and some by common
men, yet they brought together a book where there are no contradictions
and no discord. It starts with the origin of the world and of man and
proceeds to tell of his sins. God created man upright but he sought out
many inventions (Ecc. 7:29). Then in love God sat up a scheme of 
redemption for manout many inventions (Ecc. 7:29). Then in love God sat
up a scheme of redemption for man through Jesus Christ. That is the story
of the Bible. 
  3. The Bible has been a help to people who have been guided by its 
precepts. It was Thomas Jefferson who said, "the studious perusal of the
sacred volume will make better homes, better citizens, better fathers,
and better husbands." Jesus, the Savior of the world said, "I am come
that they might have life and that they might  have it more abundantly."
(John 10:10). He also said, "the words that I speak unto you they are
spirit, and they are life." (John 6:63). We are saved and made a more
loving people by following the Bible (more particularly the New Testament.
Following the teachings of Jesus makes for a pure life. "Seeing ye have
purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto
unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a 
pure heart fervently." (I Pet. 1:22). Wherever freedom is found, wherever
educational standards are raised, wherever the poor are fed, wherever
there is opportunity for advancement - that is where the influence of
the Bible has gone. Can you show me any atheist who ever established a
school, built a hospital, or shown a helping hand in time of disaster?
Who are engaging in killings, tortures, starving people, enslaving people,
or are spreading diseases? The people denying the Bible and who are not
being guided by it. The Gay lifestyle is killing more people than the
Serbs by spreading Aids, and other gonorrheal diseases. God is against
it, society is plagued by it, and the Bible condemns it. Mr. ABC you are
responsible for your actions and you will give account to God in
judgment.
