Department of chemistry the biggest
department of University of Karachi. Consisting 40 faculty members and
with more than 500 students enrolled each year at different levels. Department
of Chemistry is the symbol of research and a pride for the University.
Most of the faculty is foriegn qualified and having Ph.D's under eminent
professors of the world and now become eminent in their self.
Courses

B.Sc.(Hon.)
A three year full time course, design to introduce
the basic requirements, techniques and analyzing problems of
chemistry by which they able to deal chemistry as hoby.
M.Sc.
One / Two year full time course, emphasizing
on problem solving and research orientation, so that students contributing
their skills towards new development. Aand more productive for Industry,
specially for research based industries.
M.Phill.
Resarch based course, and only completed by research work. Work shoud be
original or an enhauncement of old one. Minimum period is two years.
Ph.D.
It required all the internationally
accepted formalities for the fulfilment of Doctrate degree like analysis,
reliability, nature and finally aproved by at least two eminen
professors from Deveoped countries.
Chemzine
A magazine of chemisty maintend by Department
of Chemistry, University of Karachi with updates and information
of Latest happening in Chemistry from and around the world. A contribution
of students towards quality knoweldge.
9th National Chemistry
Conference
The biggest and only event of chemistry at
National/International level for the National chemists. A great place to
exchange, contribute knowledge and skills. This year Department of chemistry
hosting the event. Come and feel chemistry.
