The Cherry Poppin Daddies have been nominated for a MTV Video Music Award for best new artist. The video nominated is Zoot Suit Riot. Be sure to tune in on September 10th.

As seen on the tour dates page, they're going to be performing in England at the famed Reading Festival on August 28th.

Zoot Suit Riot has been Released in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Brazil, and Norway. It's Almost Gold in New Zealand and Canada. It's set to be released soon in many countries, including the UK on 09/14/98, Mexico on 08/28/98, and Switzerland on 09/24/98.

10/07/98 Steve celebrated his birthday today at Hollywood Podium(stadium?).He was surprised by a woman in a cake?.i'll have more aboout this later,i'm confused too!

10/26/98 Dustin Lanker has left the daddies.I have no clue who the new keyboardist is.

11/07/98 The daddies(so I have heard)are doing a video for "Here Comes The Snake".They are also recording for the new album(thank you!).On the 6th they made an apperance on the Roseanne Show.And last but not but least......I met them on the November 5th show!!!

11/18/98 okay abunch of news,first off the new keyboardist is Johnny(his last name is in my names and faces section coz i can't spell!).Secondly...the new album is due out in spring-early summer,it can't come fast enough!And third of all my hero Mel Brooks is rumored to be directing a modified version of"Here Comes The Snake".Lets cross our fingers for some nudity ladies!

!2/04/98 Well,Well looks like somebody doesn't wanna play nice,The Squirrel Nut Zippers pulled out of a show in Boston with the daddies because they didn't wanna be part with the whole "swing revolution".How times do i have to say this,the daddies aren't just swing!!

12/22/98 Wow,tons of news..Yesterday,one of the Cherry Poppin' Daddies got married! Ian Early wed his long time sweetheart Marilee. She is a very sweet and nice girl and they have been together for a few years. Also, it is confirmed, the guys didn't get to keep their Gucci and Armani suits. They had to give them back after the Rolling Stone shoot. It is also rumored (and unconfirmed) that Wyclef may be producing one of the Daddies' songs in the future. And last but not least a new album is shimmying your way in October '99!!!Happy Birthday me!by the way my b-day is october 9th so you all better start saving up!:-P

01/11/98 As you all know the daddies are in Aus. right now but they will be back around the 17th!woo-hoo!They will be taking a few week break and then heading into the studio to record.The new albm shall be released late summer/early fall.The daddies will also be touring the us in april where i hope to meet up again with the members of the MC Large Drink Fan Club,woo-hoo!

01/20/99 The daddies have returned and i am happy to report that none of them were eaten by a pack of dingos.In other news the soundtrack"Blast From The Past" will be released the second week of february which includes the daddies song"So Long Toots".
