Information for George D. Longbrake

Georges parents moved the family from West Virginia to Logan County, Ohio in 1861, settling on a 90 acre farm near Logansville.

The 1880 Ohio Cencus stated that George Longbrake was a farmer (age 39 at time of census) was born in Virginia as were his parents, his wife Magdalena (37 at time of census) was born in Ohio her parents were born in Virginia.

In the 1900 census Magdelena Longbrake (Trout) was 57 and the head of the household.

Writing in the family bible shows that George Longbrake died August 1912.

William, son, age 6, OH

Only Magdelena and 2 children appear on the 1900 census; therefor it appears that George died between 1880 and 1900.

George was a Railroad worker and Farmer
