Member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Shepherdstown, Virginia (Now W. Virginia) All children were born here.

Jacob and his family remained here even though is father Daniel and his family removed to Ohio.

Jacob and family are in the 1860 Washington Township, Logan County, Ohio US Census.
