Farmers' Markets, general: 4/4/00.

4/4/00 - 4/2/00 Parade Magazine page 15 says says the USDA lists about 3000 farmers' markets at www.ams.usda.gov/farmersmarkets, but it doesn't work. www.usda.gov/services.html gets you to a page where you can click on Farmers Markets, but that doesn't work either. Maybe someday?

Farmers' Markets - They seem over priced to me and don't have what I want. (Maybe cause it's out of season - silly me.) Do double check this info before you go, and check the city web sites at South Bay for more info. For example, www.ci.torrance.ca.us/CITY/DEPT/PARKS/market/season.htm has a chart of what's in season.

Certified Farmers Markets and others. See www.latimes.com/HOME/NEWS/FOOD/t000053993.html for the whole list which covers L.A., Orange, and Ventura Counties. Thanks to David Karp and the Los Angeles Times for the good job in the 6/16/99 Food section. They also list five web sites. Others from 11/13/99 Daily Breeze. *The one in San Pedro moved to Signal Hill (around Long Beach) lateish 1999; see www.sanpedro.com/farmers/market.htm.
