![]() In December 1996 Steve plus an all-star band performed a series of 4 concerts in Japan to support the Genesis Revisited album. Now a double CD live and a video are scheduled for a 27 April release and also a video will be published. For those who missed the concert (many too many!) Steve prepared this present in which you will see John Wetton, Chester Thompson, Ian McDonald and Julian Colbeck performing many gems of music from Genesis, Steve Hackett and King Crimson tunes.

![]() Steve's first acoustic work was recorded in 1983 just after the break with Charisma. "Bay of kings" represented then the struggle of an artist between popularity and integrity. Steve choiced the last one pursuing his real interest in music. (The same thing when he left Genesis). Now after another acoustic work (Momentum, 1988) he returns with another classical album that marks an important step in his glorious career. From EMI classics, with the Royal Philarmonic Orchestra "Midsummer nights dream" derived from a famous Shakespeare's opera. ![]() A great gift for all Hackett fans. Always considered inessential in Genesis sound, Steve here demonstrates once again that he was one of the main reasons (together will Peter Gabriel) that made the band great! In 1996 he recorded these work in which he "revisited" old Genesis tunes. In my opinion many of these old songs were affected by poor production, and these version regave life to them. Buy it immediately! It's the best album I've heard for years... |

PROJECTS IN THE PIPELINE:
Another acoustic album (similar to "Midsummer") with orchestra; parts of this work are already recorded. Rock album (some demos were made but no recording at all for this yet) Demos, Live tracks, the Feedback album (probably this songs will be published in limited editions for fans via fanzines or Internet). Box trot: finally after 3 years the long awaited Genesis boxset will be published on 15th June. Steve fixed time ago the guitar parts on the Lamb show and in other songs. A reunion concert is not scheduled (better to leave those days alone....) New UK album - the reformed UK are putting out an album in the next months and Steve is a special guest in a couple of songs.
