GUARD AROUND SHUFFLE

The Guard Around Shuffle has the same starting positions as the Deweyville Shuffle.

Diagram 109: The first cutter passes to the point. The feeder pops out as in the Deweyville Shuffle. The point passes to the feeder, then the point cuts behind the feeder to the second cutter position.

Diagram 110: The first cutter's timing of his cut is the same as in the Deweyville Shuffle. After the point passes to the feeder, the first cutter rubs his defender off the screen set by the post and cuts through the lane looking for the pass from the feeder. The first cutter will cut through the same as in the Deweyville Shuffle but when he sees he is not open for the pass he goes to the ballside block and then to the post position. After the first cutter clears the post's screen, the post rolls to the feeder position.

Diagram 111: We are now set to run the shuffle back to the other side of the court.
