The Maryland Shuffle has the same starting positions as the Deweyville Shuffle. The Maryland Shuffle is the last of the three Shuffle Offenses that were originally designed to be used against a zone, but which can also be effective versus a man-to-man defense.

Diagram 123: The first cutter passes to the point. The feeder pops out as he does in the Deweyville Shuffle. The point passes to the feeder. The first cutter moves off the post's screen and cuts through the lane looking for the pass and then moves to the second cutter position. The second cutter moves up to the original first cutter position.

Diagram 124: The feeder passes to the second cutter and cuts to the basket looking for pass, then cuts through the lane to the feeder position. On the feeder to second cutter pass the post cuts across the lane to the ballside post position, the point moves to the first cutter position and the original second cutter moves to the point position.

Diagram 125: With the pass from the second cutter to the first cutter we are now ready to run the shuffle back to the other side of the court.
