Sulfur
As you may have guessed from the background color, sulfur is a yellow solid. It is atomic number 16 on the Periodic Table with a mass just over 32 amu. Since its 18th century discovery by Antoine Lavoisier, sulfur has been used for a number of things. For example, sulfur is one of the buliding blocks in gunpowder and fireworks. Sulfur is also used in items that don't explode, such as vulcanized rubber.
