An article in the Dallas Observer

Warped hardcore that sounds like an art-damaged Secret Hate, complete with sudden time changes and occasional dabblings outside of punks stale boundries. This is some goddamned cool stuff here.

Pounding, Punchy, dark and dynamic, bursting sounds emerge from this CD. Quite a rockin version of DEVO's "Freedom of Choice"... Infact their originals sound similarly heavy and twisted without being metal.

**LIVE REVIEW**
I learned at least two things this Friday night. First - that it's a bad idea to mix beer, gin and port all in the same evening. The second revelation was that Clutch Cargo is shaping up into a powerful punk outfit. Singer, Alx, sneered and generally convulsed his way through the entire set, rolling his eyes, jumping like a spastic lunatic - or just a real pissed-off kid. The tempos jolted into double and triple time to let the ranting slam home, and the entire set was fast, tight and captivating.

Punk rock with a full throttle. The band formed in Nacogdoches  several years back and have grown to one of the most promising punk bands in the Metroplex. Their CD flies by at a blistering pace and leaves you wanting more. The recent addition of  guitarist Ted Wood (ex-Brutal Juice,  The Banes) adds a  welcomed tightness and gives them an even brighter future.

Insanity at its finest in the form of "experimental noise". Alx, the lead singer, seems most comfortable with a mask of psychosis on his face during their shows. And with songs like "Schizo", the psychosis fits.

Scoff at the idea if you like, but clutch cargo's description of themselves as "Avail meets Dead Kennedys" hits the nail squarely on the head. Hardcore Punk introductions drift into more metal-obsessed middle sections before drifting back to their origins.
