The new Harmonic 65 Committee has been elected and a complete list can be found elsewhere on this web page. We welcome to the committee Monica Parnis who takes over as club Secretary. Monica brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge in this field. We say thanks to Vic who occupied that position since 1987. Vic will now head the club's Marketing Team.

14th July 1998

It's so nice to hear not only from regular friends but also well known well-wishers as well. After Enzo Gusman's message it is so nice to hear from Chiara, whose overwhelming success in the Eurovision Song Festival filled all the Maltese around the world full of pride. Thank you Chiara and hope that one day you may visit us here in Australia. Rest assured you will be warmly welcomed. In the meantime the choir practises are going fine and there are rumors we might have a fifth section - sopranos. Why not, the more-the merrier! There is still time to join us.

11th June 1998

The first Choir meeting took place yesterday and there is a good sense of comraderie and "team feeling" in the group. Each individual has now been allocated to a section and each section will now rehearse separately until we meet again as a choir on the last Wednesday of each month.

31st May 1998

The Harmonic 65 Choir is having its first official meeting on Wednesday 10th June at 7.30pm. The meeting will take place at the Maltese Community Centre in Parkville. Those who would like to take part in this choir should attend as it is at this meeting that individuals will be sectioned off into their particular sections based on their vocal range. Harmonic 65 Inc would also like to thank the Maltese Community Council of Victoria for their assistance in providing us with a venue.

4th May 1998

2nd May 1998

Well, how do you like the changes to the background of most of our pages? I think they really look nice. I asked my son Brian to help me out. We used a program which he wrote himself called REPTILE and which will soon be available on the net (free of charge). Thanks Brian!

1st May 1998

The date for the Manoel de Vilhena Awards 1998 is the 5th December. Scripts are being written as we speak, and very soon we shall start the rehearsals for all the choir members. This is going to be the most exciting and challenging project to date. Stay tuned.

14th April 1998

Thanks to Enzo Gusman for his lovely message (see Guest Book). Enzo, the pleasure was all ours as you are a great performer to work with. The Maltese Herald (Australia's only National Maltese newspaper) featured a full report on the show. It was also nice to see 2 letters to the editor which were full of praise for Enzo, Vince Pulo & Band, Dee, Ross and Vic. This letter is one of them.

29th March 1998

What a GREAT night and what a magnificent entertainment we saw at the show last night. And Enzo was full of praise for the magnificent performance of the club members. The arrangement of all the music by Vince, the great sound by the seven piece band and the performance by Dee and Ross, both as support act and backing singers for Enzo, earned each and every one of them great praise from Enzo and the 500 plus audience. Well done to all. Now we turn our focus to getting the MDV Awards show organised.

8th March 1998

Saturday 28th March sees the return to Melbourne of the popular Maltese singer - ENZO GUSMAN and yes some of our club members are heavily involved in this show. Club President Vince Pulo is the Musical Director and the support act consists of singers Ross Pulo and Dee Wilde. To top it off the club secretary Vic Smith will be the Master of Ceremonies.

Tickets for this event are $15 each for adults and bookings and other info can be obtained from the local organiser - Mr Reno Grima on 9330 2602. This should be a TERRIFIC Night!

1st March 1998

We are looking for more members to join the club choir. This is a great opportunity to learn singing in 4 part harmony and the choir will play an integral part in this year's Manoel de Vilhena Awards presentation. It's going to be a big production to celebrate the 10th year of these awards. It's also great fun :) Please contact Vince Pulo as soon as possible on 9328 1675

27th February 1998

Oh by the way, the video tape of the Manoel de Vilhena Awards 1997 is now available. The price is $15 for each copy and the whole lot lasts about 2hrs 45mins. It's great value and some wonderful memories of a great night. If you would like a copy call Vince on 9328 1675 in Melbourne. Also available are photos of the same night. I have put in a scanned image of all the Cast & Crew on Dress Rehearsal Night
