We need to help find some or better yet all of the Children that are Missing.We know that a great number of them are runaway's.But they also need our help. Some may think that they had no where els to turn.If I can help find just (1)one of these Children, I would take that as a great start.

CHILDREN AVOIDING ABDUCTION

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children recorded about 300 stranger abductions and 114,000 attempted abductions in 1996. Share these tips with your children and help them stay safe.

Youngsters should run as fast as they can away from someone who is in a car after them. Teach them that they can weave and change directions easier than a car.

If the child can't run, tell them to fight back. Teach them to use things such as their bicycle as a barrier between them and a potential abductor.

If a child is captured they should try to leave a trail of personal items to help police find them. If stuck in a car they can pull out loose wires below the dash, insert a small button in the ignition or yank out taillight wires.

If left alone in a house they should dial 911 and leave the phone off the hook. At night they should flash the SOS code with the light switch. The code is simple: three short, three long, three short.

Arm your children the facts and practice escape techniques with them. The more they know, about fighting back and escaping, the safer they will be.
