She's really really special Doug Frederick ~ The Poet's Pen ~ These Elephants must be looking for the rest of the family Elephants usually travel in large groups of twenty or more
For her I had to hunt
A special type of pachyderm
And her name is Elly Funt
She follows me where 'ere I go...
Except for indoor places
Her size is just unable
To fit in certain spaces
Has been right from the start
She found herself a happy home
Right here within my heart
The Elephant Poem
Elephants are lovely guys,
They don't play with electric wires;
They don't beat up on smaller folks,
Super strong yet very nice,
Written by Wayne Hepburn and placed in the Public Domain Even businesses use Elephants as their logos Wonder if there is a postage stamp with Elephants Bet everyone knows who this is My favorite Walt Disney's Dumbo, of course
They're good and true and tell no lies.
I never have heard of them starting fires.
They live healthily, they don't smoke
An Elephant is a kindly bloke.
Elephants take care of their young,
And rarely speak with angry tongue.
When in school, they do not cheat,
They walk in lines which are quite neat.
Don't care if they're the butt of jokes.
They don't fret, what to wear today,
Look simply splendid all in gray.
They're really not afraid of mice.
I've tried and tried but I just can't
Find anything better than the Elephant.
This Elephant wants you to follow in his footsteps and learn a lot more about him
