On their way to winning the 'B' Division Supplementary Cup for the second year in succession, East Fife recorded a superb 13-2 aggregate win over Albion Rovers in the Semi-Final of the competition in April 1948 (scores and matches not included in the above tables). The Fifers went on to defeat Stirling Albion 9-1 on aggregate in the Final. Apart from this Semi-Final pairing, there have been no matches of any real significance between the two clubs, but one or two matches are worth a small mention.

In a Division Two match on 9 April 1927, East Fife beat Rovers 8-2 at Bayview. The eigth goal for the home side, scored by Jock Wood, was the Fifers 100th league goal in season 1926/27. Their final tally was 103.

In another high scoring league match between the sides at Bayview on 12 November 1932, East Fife's junior trialist scored four goals in a 6-1 victory. The trialist was an Innerleven lad by the name of Farren, who normally turned out for St Andrews United. Amazingly, despite his remarkable goal scoring feat, East Fife decided not to sign the player as he was prone to be caught offside too often!

In the first ever Scottish Cup tie between East Fife and Albion, played on 27 January 1962, the Fifers turned out wearing green and white stripes. Many of the home supporters in the 3,700 crowd were unhappy at the choice of colours for the change strip for some reason and wrote to the 'East Fife Mail' to voice their disapproval. East Fife won the match 1-0.
