 Not many people think Mallow is any good, but in my opinion he is one of the best. His 
attacks aren't obscenely strong but he excells at magic. Besides maybe Toadstool, his 
attacks are weakest. There's not much reason to use them (unless, of course, you equip the 
Quartz Charm).
 Mallow's lightning attacks are perhaps most useful.  Which one you should use depends on 
your situation. The Thunderbolt shocks the entire enemy party and uses a pitiful 2 FP, but 
is pretty weak later on. The Shocker hits one meanie and does substantial amounts of 
damage, but uses 8 FP. Both are in the electricity catagory.
 Mallow's Healing powers are good early on but are kinda "blah" once Peach joins.
 The Psychopath is another useful special. Sending it off shows how much HP your foe has, 
and if you time it right when the spotlights come together you'll get a snappy comment (my 
favorites are Booster's and the Smithy masks'). This can help you plan your attacks 
("Should I use a Rock Candy or a regular attack?") Might I add that you can impress your 
fans by sending a really crushing final attack.
 The Snowy is excellent in Bean Valley and Barrel Volcano because of all the fiery menaces 
there. It counts as an ice-type attack.
 Last but _definitely_ not least is the Star Rain. It hits multiple times and does so with 
force. Need I say more? Note that it is a jump-type attack.
 Mallow's best arsenal is Sonic Cymbals, Prince Pants and Scrooge Ring.
