ABOUT THE CRITICS

The critics who contribute to A MOVIE CRITIC'S HEAVEN are just regular people with opinions. Some of us have had those opinions published, some have not.

James Brundage

James Brundage has had his reviews published in papers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He writes for the Leader Times of Kittanning as a student critic, his high school newspaper "The Wildcat Prowler" one of several movie critics, and previously wrote for "The Pirate's Eye" in New Jersey, another school newspaper. He has been a movie critic since the age of fourteen.

Berge Garabedian

Born in Amsterdam, Holland, Berge is a man of peculiar tastes. He spent most of his teenage years listening to heavy metal, punk and hardcore music, while drinking his weight in alcohol. During his college years, he traded in those catchy tunes and his taste for barley, and surrendered to the good ol' fashioned sounds of a gentleman by the name of Elvis Presley, and the sweeter tastes of hard liquor.

Once graduated as a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in International Business and 1200 comic books stashed under his bed, Berge realized that he would not go far in life, unless he made something more of himself (Or at least laid off the booze once in a while.) At this point, he stepped into the Masters program at McGill University in Montreal (Resting home of the famed William Shatner Building), and completed his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) by the age of 25. He completed his degree in Holland, and received a Certificate of International Business at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam over his last six months in the land of formal education. While in Europe, Berge visited the historic landmarks (A picture of Quentin Tarantino's favourite hashbar rests on my page... incubation home of the revered Pulp Fiction script), and quenched his thirst for all things funky, creative and new.

Four finished screenplays and plenty of rejection letters later, Berge maintains his status in society as a Product Manager for a major computer distributor in Canada, while attempting to complete his Certificate of Journalism at nights. In April 1998, Berge began writing up his movie reviews on the Internet under the pseudonym of JoBlo. Youare now up to date on the life and times of Berge Garabedian.

Some of my favourite movies include: Goodfellas, Blue Velvet, When Harry met Sally, Clockwork Orange, Swingers, Reservoir Dogs, Edward Scissorhands, Annie Hall, True Romance, Airplane 1 & 2, Leaving LasVegas, Clerks, Star Wars, Wall Street, Taxi Driver, Lost Highway,Raising Arizona, The Crow, Seven, Trainspotting.
