The Caesar Rodney Riders will have a new look
for the 2000 season. Former head coach Jeff Savage has accepted a position
as head softball coach at Delaware State University. Eric Buckson will
replace Savage. Coach Buckson comes from Polytech High School where he
brought the Panthers to a higher level of play. Buckson inherits a team in
tranisition having to replace 5 seniors from last years conference
championship team. In other Rider Softball news, Senior pitcher Janice
Savage has accepted a full athletic scholarship to attend Georgia Southern
University. A 1999 All State and All Henlopen Conference selection, Savage
chose the Eagles over Akron U., Ball State U., Ohio U., and Rutgers U.
