This combined pottery and glass sculpture set a style now used at Chilmark Pottery, Martha's Vineyard.

The Truth About Pottery

won a prize at the annual Martha's Vineyard Agricultural Fair and was a judged entrant in Arts Worcester.

Four Seasons

was featured in Cape Cod Life magazine. It won a first prize at the Martha's Vineyard "Ag Fair" and remains on permanent display at Chilmark Pottery. Mathilda also won a first prize at the next year's fair with a fanciful dragon incised on a large vase (not pictured); it subsequently was shown at Shaw Cramer and sold for $1,200.00.


Mathilda has also thrown, designed, decorated and glazed numerous china and place setting articles, such as the plate and bowl shown here.
