· As BW team lead, I was responsible for all aspects of data loading, modeling, spoking, and reporting in our BI and data-staging (SQL-based) environments. Configured and mapped XI for Invoice idoc translation for transition between 4.6C and Netweaver ECC 5.0 systems. Technical team lead on the Zilliant interface (a proprietary pricing system) prototype. This interface used XI out of BI to directly update SQL tables via the JDBC adapter. Created an XI interface, named Demand Forecast, from BI to our external sourcing system in XML format. Created in XML XI interface for automated extraction and FTPing of active material data. All aspects of development, maintenance, and configuration of EDI related interfaces: 810, 850, 855, 856, 867, 846, and 824’s inbound and outbound via SAP IDOCS. Created a series of programs for an interface to automate the creation and processing of Service Notifications in the PM module. Upgrade and service pack installations. Designed and developed a workflow featuring dialog-based IDOC data display for inbound Sales Orders. Co-developed a workflow process for AP and inbound Invoices. Mentored developers on many technical issues. Responsible for management of weekly ‘Make Live Plan’ for presentation and approval by the Implementation Management Team. Designed and developed a workflow prototype process for Transport approval and release. Responsible for technical review and approval of development related transports. Led a project that identifies and reassigning Account Managers to new clients that featured a web UI, and a complex approval algorithm. Created an XI interface, called Web relevancy, to map and FTP material list files for reporting on our sales website in XML. Built a workflow for automated handling of exceptions in the sales order creation process. Setup the extraction of historical data to BW and decoded master and transactional data into new standard.

· Responsible for many enhancements in the areas of SD and MM including: Sales Order user exits to check valid Ship-to partners; an exit to populate PO item #; an exit to move freight conditions into an Idoc transportable field; an inbound Delivery idoc user exit that updated a custom table with employee phone S/N’s; and an outbound Idoc user exit that added an Idoc segment with pricing info and Order Entry date. Also developed were many interactive ALV Grid Reports including various sales orders, reconciliation, and material stock reports. Created functions that connected directly with a foreign Warehouse Management Systems(PKMS -Manhattan Assoc.) database(Oracle) tables via Native SQL calls in ABAP. Developed an interface to load SKU and UoM data into the Material Master, and an interface that changes Sales Order statuses from spreadsheet data. Involved in upgrade and conversions from SAP IS-Retail 4.6c to 4.7 in terms of integration testing, developing CATT scripts, writing unit test plans, and testing my development objects in the new environment.

· Responsible for shop floor to MM/PPPI data collection interfaces: these interfaces automatically create Batches, Process Orders, Confirmations, and do a Goods Issue against Reservations using BAPI’s and BDC’s. Developed an interface for the daily load of commodity market prices, and an interface to load a custom set of Product Groups from SAP's Classification System. Also developed were many interactive and ALV reports including: Market vs. Buyer Analysis, Vendor Shipments by Lot, PO and ‘Requisition Text’ Reports, On-Time Delivery Analysis, Contract Pricing, and Invoice Days Due/Blocked Statistics. Created user exits in Sales Order creation to handle custom Handling Units. Developed a BDC to automatically update weekending dates in the characteristics of orders, and a BDC program to automatically transfer all inventories from all plants to new material numbers. Completed an interface and report that will reconcile purchases and goods movements between SAP(4.6b) and legacy systems.

Added ALV functionality to existing reports for further flexibility.

Responsible for Functional Specifications for Interfaces, Conversions (including Data Mapping to/from legacy), Conceptual Data Models, SAP Relational Data Models, development of data standards, and mechanisms for data cleansing and normalization.

Trained NEC staff on SAP EDI configuration and IDOC and mechanics. Created a function module to process delivery IDOC data into sales order documents and remove the billing blocks (or reject individual order items). Developed a user exit to preprocess invoice IDOCS in order to ‘rollup’ similar segments. Developed interactive reports and BDC’s for master data maintenance. We used GE’s Application Integrator as our translator in a UNIX environment.

Accountable for the Sales Audit requirements of the project, including a series of interactive reports and tools for POS Exception, Gap Analysis, POS Sales Tax Interface, Cash Receipts, Store Security, and Loss Prevention. I developed user-exits that pre-processed POS IDOCs adding the functionality of flagging out-of-balance transactions as errors and diverting voided transactions to custom tables. I was also challenged in working in the HR module for a short time debugging program problems.

The outbound interface loaded initial SAP Master data, inventory, and sales data etc. and automatically updates this data daily based on change documents in SAP. The inbound interface created purchase orders via IDOC’s.

The Physical Inventory interface converted third-party collection data into IDOC format, and featured a SAP ‘dialog based’ data browser/editor, automatic UPC lookup and automatic material listing. Responsible for developing various interfaces for data migration including an optimized BDC interface for on-hand inventory. Because of the many performance issues that arose from a large material list, I worked closely with developers in Germany to enhance the speed in many areas of SAP-Retail. Also developed was an application to compare information structures across systems using RFC’s, and a POS outbound IDOC enhancement for refreshing store listings.

As the project progressed and our team grew, I took on the role of team lead for POS development and delivered a working prototype. Investigated various converter products for POS.
