Program Director/Production Director. Following the acquisition of KTMS-AM by KEYT Television in July of 1998, I was promoted by the new management and given the task of creating and programming a new all-news radio station. In addition to my duties as producer of the "Voice of Santa Barbara" with Jerry Cornfield, I also trained and supervised the operations staff, created and reconciled station logs and clocks, as well as maintained KEYT-AM's FCC Public and EEO Files. I was responsible for the commercial production department as well. Mine was the primary voice used on commercial voice-overs, and I was the chief producer of spots as well, though I also assigned duties to others as needed.

Talk Show Producer/Engineer/Assistant Production Director. My primary task was to produce and engineer "The Voice of Santa Barbara" with Fred Vega and Andy Vierra, on Newstalk 1250 KTMS. My duties included booking guests; providing the host with research materials; selecting and editing
suitable bumper music; creating song and commercial parodies;
screening calls; remote set-up and striking; as well as catering to the every whim of my Host and Master, Fred Vega. I also produced several other local programs, including "A Matter of Taste" with David and Rachel Cane, "Commerce", the Santa Barbara Region Chamber of Commerce's weekly business radio magazine and
"This Week in Goleta". In addition, I had daily commercial
production responsibilities for all three stations.
November 1994 to November 1995:

Air Personality/Music Director. My duties included contacting and
maintaining relationships with record companies and organizing
playlists. I also had a regular evening air-shift and performed
commercial production duties as well.

comedy-driven, phone-active morning show. I was also responsible for
writing and reading news copy during morning drive as well as

Intern/Producer. I was a participant in a 12 month internship program
that included all phases of station operations. It involved shooting in
the field and in the studio; lighting; pre and post production; editing
and computer graphics. Upon my graduation from the program, I went
on to produce music videos for several local bands and promotional
segments for "Fractal Comedy", a weekly sketch comedy
program.
October 1991 to July 1992:

Air Personality. My duties included regular weekend air-shifts and
weekday fill-ins. I also had some occasional commercial production
duties.

Air Personality/Assistant Production Director. I had a full-time, over
night air-shift and was the host of, "The All Request Saturday
Night". From 6PM to Midnight, I logged and programmed
requests as well as aired phone bits and pre-produced comedy. I was
also responsible for weekly promotional appearances and prize-van
promotions. My duties as Assistant Production Director included
organizing production room scheduals; assigning production as well as
writing and producing commercial spots.
