Huath:The Hawthorne

Hawthorn leaf, stem and flower extracts have been shown to promote healthy heart function by improving blood and nutrient flow to the heart muscle. A healthy heart helps maintain healthy blood flow and nutrient delivery throughout the body.

Habitat: Forests, meadows, and thickets. There are many species and therefore, hawthorns are seemingly ubiquitous. In some areas hawthorns form impenetrable thickets.
Most hawthorns have long thorns although, there are a few species that are thornless. The fruits resemble very small apples and are yellow to red in color when mature.
